Quotes by Andrew:

I am sure this will be a continuos post. Just trying to remember some of the funny things Andrew says and does!
On the way home from the zoo we stopped and got some food.
Dave (to the fast food drive through worker): "I'll have a Sourdough...with a diet Pepsi and a hot dog basket. Oh and I'll have a lemonade for the hot dog."
Andrew: "Daddy, you called me a hot dog!"

Our sitter sent me this one:

Her daughter, Abby, was being really sweet to Will. She said to Abby "Mommy thinks you are so sweet". Andrew then pipes up and says "My Mommy thinks I am stinky like Daddy." Ha ha!
I do tell him he is my stinky little boy all the time!

Dancing to the music...

Oh well, I have been horribly behind in my blogging. I will use the next couple of posts to get caught up! William is now running around everywhere and the boys are both enjoying playing outside in the summer sun. Will is also now saying little words like "uh oh" and ball. He loves to dance to music (see video!). Whenever it is on TV, at church, or really anywhere, he starts to dance with a big grin on his face. So cute. :-)

Fishing with Daddy

Andrew got fishing pole for his birthday and has been bugging Daddy every 2 seconds (literally) to go fishing. He just stands out in the driveway in his rain boots and practices casting his line. Well, we went up to Grandma's a few weeks ago and we finally stopped along the creek and went fishing. Andrew was so excited - he caught a fish. They attempted to go last night at Alum Creek too, but didn't catch anything.

First Haircut and First Tooth

Well, I finally broke down and took William to get his haircut. I took him to a place called Cookie Cutters. They have slides, fun things for the kids to sit in, tv's at every station, even video games. It was nice because it kept Andrew entertained while Will got his hair cut. Anyways, the little boy next to us was crying so William decided he should join in. He fussed pretty much the whole time. He got to sit in a little fire truck so when he was done, he just sat there and played in it and was fine.
Isn't this the saddest face?

Not sure what's going on...

Afterwards:

William also started getting his first tooth (Finally!) He has been a little fussy, but that could be from his big brother trying to wrestle with him and grab him constantly. :-)

Vacation!

We just got back from our FL vacation last week. We went down and visited Aunt Pam and Aunt Beth at the beach. We had a few days to get to the beach and the condo that Aunt Pam has with a heated pool. Andrew jumped in the freezing cold ocean and into Aunt Pam's freezing cold pool at her house. It didn't seem to bother him any. He just wanted to go swimming. When we went to the ocean, it was the same way, Andrew just wanted to run into the water. We played in the waves for awhile and buried him in the sand. Pam also buried Will in the sand which kept him entertained for awhile.

On one of the rainy days we went over to Silver Springs which has glass bottom boats and all kinds of alligators and other animals. Andrew got to feed the giraffes and still tells everyone he sees how stinky they were. He got a kick out of all the alligators too. See the picks below, he and Dave almost got eaten by one. :-)

On the way back we stopped by to see Grandpa. Andrew really wanted to play Grandpa's guitar so he got it out for him and played a song.

We had a great trip but we were ready to come home.

Thanks Beth and Pam for letting us stay with you!

Birthday Boys!

Andrew and William both had birthdays recently. Andrew turned 4 and William turned 1 yesterday. We had everyone over here for Andrew's birthday party. He was so excited and every time he opened a present he said "WOW!". He wanted a Spiderman cake, which this had on it until Andrew took it off to play with it!

We kind of had an unofficial party for William with my family on Sunday. Noone can ever tell him he didn't get a real 1st birthday party or else! I won't win "mom of the year" award this year. In fact, maybe I should just delete this blog and he will never know. Tammy shared Morgan's birthday party with William so he did get his name on a cake and get to open presents. The kids were all swimming at the YMCA thanks to Aunt Holly, which was a great idea. Poor little Andrew drank a little too much pool water and ended up sleeping on a cot the whole time.
Andrew while swimming.....

Andrew after swimming....

William is not quite walking yet and still no teeth in there! He will stand there all by himself and fall forward so you have to catch him or plop on his bottom and just laugh. He started waving and saying bye bye and blowing kisses. He kept repeating "uh oh" tonight too. I can't believe how fast the time goes.

Snow day

I took Andrew out to play in the snow for awhile while William was sleeping. He helped me shovel our mailbox out and then I pulled him around on his sled. After awhile Will Will woke up, I took him out for a few minutes. Below is a picture of Andrew making his "Snow Andrew" as he would say.

A Winter Picnic

Andrew really wanted to have a picnic the other day, so we decided to have one in our living room. He picked out all the food and had the picnic blanket laid out. We had carrots, applesauce, turkey, and clementines. You will notice the bandaid under his eye. He said he wanted to have the carrots and ran back in the kitchen to get them. He was awful quiet, so I asked what he was doing and he told me nonchalantly that he was trying to open the carrots. Well, he brought them in and we started having our picnic. About 10 minutes later, his face had a little bit of blood on it. I asked him what he did and he said he poked himself with the knife when he was trying to get the carrotts open!?!??!! After picturing all the horrific things that could have happened to him, I yelled at him and had a good talking. I thought that we were past all the ages where the kids get into everything? He is just becoming a little dare devil. A few weeks ago, I was giving William a bath and I came out to find Andrew sitting at the top of the steps in a rubbermaid container getting ready to slide down. I stopped him, of course, and told him he would flip right over and he said "but doggie and blankie didn't", meaning he tried it with them first to see what would happen.

Anyways, back to the picnic. After we all got over the knife incident, we had a lovely little picnic in our living room. William chowed down on the turkey. :-) Oh, and notice Andrew is still wearing "The Wrestle Shirt" (see below...).

The "wrestle" shirt

One day Andrew was picking out his own clothes and wanted to wear this tank top. For some reason (I think maybe Daddy told him this), he thinks it is a wrestle shirt. From that day on, when he wears it, he walks around flexing his muscles. He will wear it for days at a time until I sneak it away and wash it. He is happy to wear it under his normal clothes, but usually ends of taking those off so he can show off his wrestle shirt to everyone. I was getting him ready for bed tonight and he picked out his own jammies. Here is the pic of the final outfit. Note the Halloween socks. :-)

Playing catch up...

What better to do on a snow day than catch up on my blogging?? I have been completely slacking. Andrew has been having fun helping Daddy shovel all the snow. He got his own little shovel and was so excited to help. I have no pictures of it becuase I was too lazy to bundle myself up to go and take some. I will try to get some pictures up of the "andrew snowman" that he and Daddy made.

We started the boys at a new sitter last week and so far, she is wonderful. I was so glad to get them out of the other place. Andrew has another little boy to play with and loves going over there (he is actually upset that I didn't got to work today! I guess that's good...). I ventured out last weekend and took Andrew to the library in Delaware for the first time ever. We picked out a couple of books and picked up a Curious George movie (which we are watching now!). Once he saw the computers in the kid section, that was all he wanted to do. So much for an exciting trip to the library. Oh well, he had fun and we got some new books to read. I wanted to get some books on photography so I can learn to take some good pics with my new camera (Christmas present from Dave).

William finally started crawling a few weeks ago. He is following us all around the house now and loves to get into the cabinet with the pots and pans. He also likes one that has some glass dishes in it. I am going to have to babyproof that. Although he is not skinny by any means, he is finally starting to lose his little Buddha belly. :-)
